Jane Finnis

Jane Finnis is the Director of Culture24 in the UK - a non-profit online cultural publisher that produces a number of websites including the 24 Hour Museum, Show Me, and Icons. She is a founder member of the Culturemondo network and now chairs the international steering committee and is host to the secretariat through Culture24.

Jane has worked in the Arts professionally since 1989, starting in artist film and video production, then arts management and digital art commissioning. She is an experienced consultant, fundraiser and project manager and has also worked as a Producer of artist commissions, museum/gallery installations, websites, videos and interactive multi-media productions.

Jane has spent a great deal of time on a lot of different advisory boards and committees, working with policy makers, government agencies and development agencies both nationally and internationally. Through this work she has become increasingly involved in leading, informing and developing strategies for good digital cultural practice. She is interested in the ways in which digital technologies are breaking down the boundaries between different industries and sectors and how they creates new ways of working and learning.
