Shih-Chieh "Ilya" Li

Shih-Chieh Ilya Li (@ilya), a.k.a. Ilya Eric Lee, is an Internet cultural activist, independent researcher, coordinator / project manager and sociology PhD student based in Taipei, Taiwan. 

He has devoted the last decade to open-source and open-culture related projects, and has worked at Academia Sinica since 2002, dedicated in TELDAP, Taiwan (The e-Learning and Digital Archives Program) since 2004. Besides executive secretary work (2004-2006), he facilitates and joins international collaboration projects & web 2.0 initiatives, including social media and OpenID service. His personal interest is in strategic planning, participatory knowledge management & narrative architecture. 

He represents TELDAP on the Culturemondo International Steering Committee since 2005, has been co-Chair of APAN (Asia-Pacific Advance Network) eCulture working group, co-founded OSGeo Taiwan, the board member of the Software Liberty Association of Taiwan, and staff at the Social Brain Foundation. All roles which converge on the everyday practices of our information society. He enjoys interdisciplinary practices and hybrid experiments, theoretical dialogues and methodological adventures. He is working on digital archives & museum studies, food culture, mobile Internet and user-oriented technologies.
